Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism Is People-first Principle

Today the people in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea dynamically advance socialist construction to victory, holding aloft the banner of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, authored and developed by the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who always found themselves among the people and devoted their all for the good of the people, is run through with the people-first principle.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un gave a classic definition that Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is, in essence, the people-first principle, on the basis of comprehensive analysis of the revolutionary ideas of the great leaders.

“The great Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is, in essence, the people-first principle, and the mode of existence of our Party is serving the people.”

Overall system and contents of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism are run through with the people-centred ideal of regarding the people as the God, relying on them and serving them faithfully. Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the revolutionary ideology that regards the masses of the people as the most precious and powerful beings in the world.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism explains that the masses of the people are a united social community which centres on working people, due to their common demand for independence and creative activity. Thanks to Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, the great idea of regarding and approaching the masses of the people as the masters of everything, as the main factor in deciding everything and as the most precious and powerful beings in the world was put forward.

General Secretary Kim Jong Un highly respects and reveres the people. Imprinted on the General Secretary’s mind are the images of the great leaders. The General Secretary kept it as his invariable principle to respect the people as he held the great leaders in high esteem. Thanks to the General Secretary, the essence of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism was defined as the people-first principle and the slogan “Everything for the people, everything by relying on them!” has become the fundamental principle and mode of the Party and state activities.

Giving absolute priority to the people’s dignity and interests now becomes the climate of the Party and national climate of the Republic, which becomes more steadfast thanks to the respected General Secretary’s people-oriented politics.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the revolutionary ideology whose supreme principle is to solve all problems by relying thoroughly on the masses of the people.

The masses of the people are teachers of everything and their strength is inexhaustible. The people are the most intelligent and omniscient teacher, and they have justice and strength. It is the valuable truth taught by President Kim Il Sung that one will always emerge victorious if one believes in the people and relies on them and one will always fail if one is forsaken by them.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism that applies the noble idea “The people are God” considers it as the best measure, the one and only method to solve all problems by relying on the masses of the people, the masters and decisive factor in the revolution and construction.

The vaster the task is and the more serious the situation may be, the more one should rely on the masses of the people and enlist their strength—this is the leadership principle, mode of revolutionary leadership that is run through with Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

Those whom the respected General Secretary trusts in and relies on are none other than the people who are loyal to the leadership of the Party and do everything if it is desired by the Party.

The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un stages timely and dynamic political activities to inform the Party members and other people of the demand of the situation, Party’s intention and revolutionary tasks and arouse them to vigorous struggle.

Thanks to the politics based on the people-first principle of finding the motive force of the development of the revolution in the hearts of the people and arousing them to action, the DPRK has cemented the single-hearted unity, the most powerful national strength and worked the miracle of developing Juche-oriented weapons of the DPRK style one after another even in the unfavourable and difficult situation as today.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism is the revolutionary ideology whose general goal of the Party and state activities is to make everything serve the masses of the people. Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism explains that the revolutionary leadership is the faithful service to the people as it advances scientific lines and policies by correctly reflecting the people’s intention and demand and implement them to the letter so as to bring their demand into reality. Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism clarifies that essence of the Party and the state is that they are servants of the masses of the people.

Making selfless, devoted service for the good of the people—this is the essence of the Juche-based outlook on the people, the people-oriented philosophy clarified by Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

The respected General Secretary consistently adheres to the principle of respecting the people’s urgent demand and intention of living to formulate and enforce lines and policies and carrying on production and construction by paying respect to the people’s intention and considering their opinion and appraisal as a criterion. The respected General Secretary pays special attention to the work of making all Party organizations and state institutions fully display the traits of devoting for the people.

In particular, the General Secretary sees that the People’s Army discharges its mission and duty as the driving force of national defence and as the true people’s army which firmly defends the country and the people from military and sudden nonmilitary threats.

Neither move of the enemy nor violent challenge of nature can frighten the people in the DPRK where the WPK’s politics based on the people-first principle is being applied. This is clearly proved by the fact that loud hurrahs for the Workers’ Party and socialism were being made in the flood-hit areas of the country.

Making Selfless, Devoted Efforts for the Good of the People that enables the Party to regard it as the most important affair to materialize the people’s demand and interests and spare nothing for the people is a new term that symbolizes and represents the great Kim Jong Un’s era.

Thanks to the WPK’s politics based on the people-first principle full of trust and devotion, repayment and obligation, the political and ideological position of the Korean revolution has been firmly consolidated, an unquenchable energy that can break every obstacle and challenge was reserved, and the advantage and vitality of the people-centred Korean socialism were demonstrated.

There are numerous ideological trends, isms and doctrines in the world, but none of them have the people-first principle as the basic idea.

In the future, too, Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism will shine brilliantly while demonstrating its everlasting vitality and attraction.
