“Immortal Juche Idea Fully Demonstrated Its Vitality against Rapid Current of Events in Present Times”

Dear comrades,

We hold this seminar with the Day of the Sun, the holiday widely celebrated by the world communist movement and progressive organizations, approaching.

The Day of the Sun is the day when the great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, founder of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and the first and eternal President of the Republic, was born. This significant holiday remind us of the Juche idea, the root of the ideological and theoretical legacy bequeathed by Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

This immortal idea was announced for the first time at the historic Kalun meeting in 1930, the period when the Korean people were waging the armed struggle against the Japanese imperialists who occupied the Korean peninsula. In the speech made at the meeting Comrade Kim Il Sung proclaimed that the country’s freedom and national independence could be achieved only by the efforts of the Korean nation itself without any help of foreign forces or support from big powers.

The Juche idea is an original world outlook born on the land of Korea. It is closely related to the whole history of the Korean people and at the same time, has a comprehensive significance of humankind and it is an idea that opened up the road to independence and sovereignty for the people over the world.

The great leader Comrade Kim Il Sung, the father of socialist Korea, analyzed in depth the requirements of a new era in which the popular masses, who had been oppressed and maltreated, emerged on the arena of history as the masters of their own destiny.

The important thing is that the Juche idea clarified that the popular masses are the masters of history and their own destiny and the national and social liberation can be achieved only through the popular masses’ revolutionary struggle. This showed the DPRK’s future development, and the Republic became a light in the struggle for many world people’s struggle for genuine independence and national self-determination.

Juche philosophy elucidated that man is the master of everything and decides everything. The principle established by applying the Juche idea in social process is that the popular masses are creators and subject of history. The socio-historical movement is the popular masses’ independent, creative and conscious movement. The guiding principles of the Juche idea are Juche in ideology, independence in politics, self-sufficiency in the economy and self-reliance in defence, all of which have the fundamental principle of the Juche idea.

The important component of the Juche idea for state building practice is unity between the leader, the party and the masses. The political system of the DPRK is that of the leader. The popular masses boundlessly respect and trust in their leader and remain loyal to the leader, and the great brilliant commanders who lead the country, invariably treat the popular masses with the idea “The people are God”.

As a result of thorough embodiment of the Juche idea, the DPRK has formed an integral whole of the Party, the state and the people and built the socialist society based on single-hearted unity, thus becoming the only example of modern society. The brilliant past and wonderful successes of today are vivid testimony to the truthfulness of theoretical principles of the Juche idea.

The Korean people are faithful to the glorious revolutionary tradition and dynamically advance along the road indicated by the works of the great leader Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.

With the immortal Juche idea as a guide, the Korean people won independence and began the socialist construction and emerged victorious in the fierce confrontation with the US imperialists in the Fatherland Liberation War and rehabilitated the economy at the legendary speed of Chollima during the postwar period. It is none other than the Juche idea that determined orientation of the DPRK’s independent foreign policy and development of self-sufficient economy for a long time. As a result, when socialism was frustrated in many East European countries, the DPRK continued to develop with success and overcame economic obstacles in the period of the Arduous March. Under the banner of the Juche idea socialist Korea is possessed of nuclear and rocket technology and disclosed the secret of thermonuclear fusion and launched a man-made satellite to the universe. The whole history of the Korean revolution is an intuitional example of the vitality of the Juche idea.

Our association is the first organization for the study of the Juche idea formed in Russia and has made strenuous efforts to study and disseminate the Juche idea for more than 25 years.

We issue publications and make study and dissemination of the ideological legacies of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, the recent works of Comrade Kim Jong Un and the realities of the DPRK through internet.
